eyeing a new camera
eh well have been considering to "upgrade" my digital camera for quite some time liaoz, i'm sorta out of the casual shooting of events kind of photography... getting tired of it and anyway got ppl to take over me, wun hurt if i dun try too hard to be the photographer nowadays, so now i need smthg tat can meet slightly more serious photography needs, though of cos not professional yet, so the best line of cameras to choose from r the prosumer line
but think nowadays the line not so clear also, think they r a bit divided up now, or maybe they see it as a new line, the big zoomz or super zooms, compact cameras with 12x zoom, full manual settings (eh... then again not as full cos lens system cant be change :P), just as prosumer cameras, but think lose out on media support, most prosumer cameras support CF, which is also widely used in D-SLRs, but such big zooms stick to their native media of smaller form factor, but well tats not a deterance for me actually... i'm quite set on choosing Sony still unless the competitors really provide an exceptional challange, cos i spent so much on memory sticks liaoz hahaha... too bad cant save on the batt cos most of the newer models do not use the same Li-ion batt as my P8 anymore... haiz...
well my eyes r set on the Sony's 1st product in this new line, the H1, read the reviews at http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/sonydsch1/ which concludes tat it doesnt diviate much from the competitors in the range, actually performs better than canon S2 IS for some tests but the top of the range is still Lumix FZ5... so i'm very much decided on getting the H1, just waiting for the opportune time hahaha, either x'mas sale or promotions... must make the most out of it, not like when i bought the P8, cld have gotten a much better deal if i waited for the nearest festive period... heehee it'll most prob be my x'mas present to myself since i most prob wun be going for a holiday as i have planned, cos no one to go with me, oh tat'd mean i wun have spare cash for gifts to anyone also hahaha sry guys :P

Hmm... then what're u going to do with ur old digital camera? sell it on eBay?

eh dun think i'd be selling it, its 2 yrs plus old liaoz, wun fetch any decent price hahaha... well some choices now are keep as spare camera, pass it to my brother who wants to get a digital camera, but most prob he wun want it cos he's working liaoz and will buy a new one himself and finally giving it away or lend it out on long term basis also possible, esp to ppl who cant afford a digital camera
