Weight, to lose or not to lose...

hmmm the qns tat has haunted me yrs and yrs is back again... well lots of ppl ask or even interrogate me on y i dun wanna lose weight, well its as if losing weight is a very easy thing tats independent of all other things, reasons they cite or mostly health reasons, which i know of myself and i can even add tat keeping fit can actually be biblical, 1 Tim 4:8-"For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.", the fact tat our body is the temple of God and we need to take care of it, the fact tat Paul instructs us to "beat" our body into submission not yielding to its desires etc etc, but the more pressing fact is tat losing weight is not as independent as its percived, it involves totally and drastically changing my lifestyle, so the qns shd be abt whether i want to change my lifestyle or not... i mean i do know the risks of my obeseity and stuff, and i for obivious reasons, know wat are the other benefits of me being slim and healthy, but yet i do not choose the path, y???

well the more carnal reasons is tat i'm lazy and to tell the truth i do not really care tat much abt the health reasons, its a consequence tat i'm willing to bear for wat i stand to gain now, and the philosophical excuse is tat its sort of my identity, i'm used to it and i have chosen this as my identity and i do not feel like changing all over again, well its basically the same thing ard the line of not doing the good i ought to do, but doing the evil i ought not to do... so the correct qns is to change or not to change, it doesnt apply only to my physical lifestyle, but also to my attitudes and spiritual life, but well i am very unmotivated now, so if u pose me the qns the ans wld be no, but things in the future i cannot predict, there may come a time when my whole mindset changes and i catch a great vision tat i desire to live out

oh and the big shout to me tat i'd definitely regret it when the time comes tat i'm bed-ridden with all the illnesses? well i cant be too sure of the future as i've said, but i'd make it a point not to regret... life is full of regrets, and this is not the only one, wrong things to do, wrong things to say, wrong choices made etc etc are all causes for regrets, but wats the point of regreting? making urself feel miserable? many ppl champion the idea of living lives w/o regrets by making all ur decision thru very detailed planning or stuff, but the truth be told, tat wun work, we r human, prone to error, regrets r part and parcel of life. so the only way to be w/o regrets? its to decide not to regret, once a decision is made, follow it thru, accept the consequences tat come, if there's a midway pt to turn back or smthg, make a decision there and then and follow tat decision thru... there can be uncountable such pts, cos with every new day, comes new realisations abt this world and new perspectives and thus new observations, judgement and decisions... we r bound to make u-turns here and there, but dun regret at each of these turns, live with it... there r just those things in life tat we cant change and i dun believe in time machines and there's no way to turn back the clock, so just keep walking on, till the clock stops ticking... tats my way of life, be true to myself as much as possible and decide not to regret
