Xmas 2008
this year's xmas was less happening as previous years and i must admit i felt quite low abt it, the service was great, i liked the way the drama was done, its the same as the easter drama with some minor changes in script and a change in cast. the song by Nel was good too, but i felt a longing for more.
i was actually quite torn before and after the svc, between my obligations and also my desires. before the svc, it was still ok, but i really flew ard the place catching the old friends tat i have. after the svc, i must say tat i had very much wanted to leave my unit activity and look for some old friends or join the NUS ppl for their carolling. there are some many dear friends tat i wld like to spend the xmas eve with, my CG is supposed to be part of it, but the new unit doesnt really appeal to me. not tat they are bad in anyway, but just simply becos they are not really friends yet. to me most of them are still mere acquiantances. also the lack of planning for the activity irritates me too. i'm a person who expects quite a bit, if there is nothing planned, i prefer to be informed beforehand, if its going to be a get-there-and-see-how situation, i need to know tat its meant to be tat way.
the redemming factor of the night was my short taxi ride home with ellson, this is one bro who shares quite a few common topics with me tat no other brothers do and he is a dear friend who has stuck thru the thick and thin over the years, his company for tat short 15 mins made the whole day end on a good note.
here are some photos i took before and after the svc. on hindsight i regreted not taking some photos of Jinghe's CG which Claire joined, who was there at the place i met ellson. also been asked again by a brother if i wanted to join the photography ministry, but i'm still struggling between the shooting lasse faire vs shooting with responsibility issue. i hope i can come to a conclusion soon.
